Abstract Submission Form

Rules & Guidelines

  1. All participants are invited to submit abstracts of scientific communications that will be peer-reviewed for their possible acceptance. Abstracts will be proposed for oral or poster presentations, but the final decision will be made by the Scientific Committee.

Abstracts should be informative and not just an entry for further investigation. The background and goals of the study should appear clearly to the reader. The methods and results must contain data, and the conclusions must be clearly expressed.

  2. Deadline

    Deadline for abstracts submission:

    31 July 2009

  3. Instructions for Authors

Abstracts should be submitted by using the online abstract form.

In order to standardize the abstract layout, we kindly ask you to read the following guidelines:

    1. Abstracts may only be submitted via Internet. Abstracts submitted by fax will not be accepted.

    2. Abstracts must be submitted in English. They will be printed in the Abstract Book as finally received, so authors should make sure that they are carefully revised and free of grammatical and typographical errors.

    3. Please do not include references in the abstract. References must be included in the final poster only.

    4. All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in the text, before being used as an abbreviation only.

    5. Abstracts should not be longer than 400 words.

    6. The presenting author of an accepted abstract must be registered.

    7. The main author should clearly indicate which topic is the most appropriate for his/her abstract.

    8. Address data will be used exclusively for correspondence.

    9. Please make sure that your e-mail address is written correctly as it will be used for all further correspondence.

After having submitted your abstract, you will receive a confirmation receipt by e-mail.

Notification of acceptance will be made no later than 5 August, 2009.

The final program and the abstracts will be handed out to all participants upon registration and are included in the registration fee.

    Poster Presentations

Posters size should not exceed 80 cm width and 100 cm height (vertical presentation). A poster number will be assigned to each abstract and announced to the presenting author. Suitable fixing material will be provided.
